JJ Farmer, 4th grader at Cleveland Elementary, has been named Eastern Iowa Heart Hero representing Kids Heart Challenge.   JJ was interviewed about his experience.  “I will be attending 4th grade at Cleveland Elementary this year. The reason why me and my family raise funds for AHA is because I was born with a heart defect and had open heart surgery at age 2  1/2.  Every year I have beat my goal at raising money for AHA. It means a lot to raise money to find more research and help others like me. My goal for when I’m older is to be a farmer and own my own farm.  So far this summer I have been doing lots of outdoor activities, canoeing for the first time was one of them.” Congratulations JJ for being our Eastern Iowa Heart Hero!
